$45,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary

The Operations Manager assists in overseeing the operations & quality standards. This role will assist with the administration of our Safety and Operation programs at a management level to provide efficient janitorial services at each one of our sites. The position will oversee the daily activity of the accounts, assuring that all quality standards are met by making personal rounds, assuring subordinates respond promptly safely and efficiently to all service requests. The Operations Manager will work with the Office to ensure adequate staffing levels, supplies and supervision and that the staff is always professional in conduct and appearance. This position is responsible for but not limited to building a relationship with night staff, site managers, and route supervisors to ensure professional direction of our services to all accounts.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

Customer and client customer service & satisfaction.

-Conducts & manages monthly safety meetings and operational training to the custodial staff.

-Works closely with the Office, Customers and other Supervisors.

-Follows up with customer requests and ensures completion of the daily work orders assigned to the route supervisors by their respective managers.

-Communicates & works with upper management regarding day & night operations.

-Conducts random site tours with the Operations Manager and other Supervisors.

-Attends operational meetings.

-Manage & administer equipment inventory list & maintains equipment upkeep at each of the sites

-Works closely with Office and partners with HR to ensure that qualified talent is hired.

-Manage and track the fleet of company vehicles & equipment to ensure proper maintenance.

-Assists Lead Supervisors with billable or non-billable product ordering.

-Manages & helps with a smooth Transition of new account start-ups & onboarding.

-Able to Identify work not currently in the Scope of Work and Performs all duties necessary to complete special jobs or utility work requested by our accounts.

-Conducts and verifies employees on the job training.

-Schedule safety inspections.

-Responsible for doing inventory and providing suggested orders for consumables supplies.

-Communicates and partners with HR in addressing worker’s comp information.

-Coaches and disciplines employees verbally and in writing following the progressive disciplinary policy.

-Attends audits led by client on as-needed basis (if available).

-Creates audit (QA) deficiencies into service requests and tracks the progress of the service.

-Reviews service requests with the Site Supervisors and budgeting & billing with the Office.

-Tracks and guarantees that all service requests are completed and timely.

-Ensures compliance with Service by protocol of approved chemical products and their uses.

-Documents all employee related issues for processing working with the HR department.

-Performs regular quality inspections with Supervisors and employees at individual sites

-Works with the Site Managers and/or employees to create and quote extra work orders.

-Ensures that the staff is complying with the contract and meeting the scope of work.

-Other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Qualifications

-Possess exceptional customer service skills.

-Work well as a team and individually.

-Communicates verbally in an effective, clear, and concise manner.

-Computer skills (MS Work, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).

-Clean driving record & Driver’s License.

-Ability to multitask and adjust to changing schedules and priorities; maintain organization in a changing environment and maintain flexible attitude & approach towards assignments.

Job Requirements:

-2-3 years of relevant work experience.

-Bilingual: Spanish/English both verbally and written preferred.

-Must be flexible with schedule when needed.

-Attendance and punctuality are a must in this position as it requires face-to-face interaction.

-Able to meet the physical requirements and essential functions of the role, with or without an accommodation, for example, frequent standing and walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, carrying, or pushing objects, occasional reaching with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

-Work in varying temperature environments (internal and external parts of the building).
